Workshops
A friendly, untutored clay group enjoying making hand built pottery and sculpture. Beginners welcome and helped to start with some clay, the group tool kit, library and masses of helpful advice.
The group meets every Mondays, 9:30am to 12:30pm.
£8 per session.
If you've always wanted to learn calligraphy but felt daunted and a little overwhelmed, not knowing how to begin, then this is the class for you! This is Modern Calligraphy using a traditional dip pen with ink and is suitable for beginners. In this two-hour class, you will learn the techniques necessary to produce beautiful lettering. Includes pen, nib, a full sized bottle of ink and a comprehensive workbook which will be yours to take home to keep practising. By the end of the session, you will have completed a mini-project producing gift tags and bookmarks. Your tutor, Nicki Darling-Finan, will give you individual support as you learn this wonderful skill. A pop-up shop will be available at the class should you wish to purchase supplies to continue your new-found hobby. You don't need to bring anything - just yourself and lots of enthusiasm but feel free to bring an apron if you wish. All materials supplied by ND Calligraphy are vegan and cruelty-free.

This special event features a talk by Dr Matthew Spring exploring the early life, musical connections and legacy of Dorothy Petre Wadham, foundress of Wadham College Oxford, followed by a concert by Sirinu featuring Elizabethan and Stuart domestic music from Dorothy’s childhood home, Ingatestone.

Now in their 23rd anniversary year, the Alter Eagles have established themselves as one of the country's top tribute acts, headlining at theatres all over the country. Playing a mix of old and new Eagles' songs, including classics such as including Hotel California, Take It Easy, Take It To The Limit, and Desperado.

Ilminster Arts Centre highly anticipated Open Exhibition 2026 is back. This annual judged exhibition invited artists from across the region to submit their work for the chance to be showcased in one of Somerset’s leading artistic events.
The exhibition will run from 23rd June to 31st July 2026, welcoming visitors from Tuesday to Saturday, 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM. Open Tuesday - Saturday 09:30-15:00. Free Entry.
