Join guitarist Will Edmunds for Kings of the Blues — a dynamic live show exploring the evolution of blues music from its raw beginnings to the present day.
With 30 years of playing experience, Will has toured internationally, supporting artists including Walter Trout, The Fabulous Thunderbirds and Robben Ford, and has worked with a wide range of established acts. He currently plays with UK country outfit The Reckless Breed and performs regularly as a blues artist with his own trio.
Kings of the Blues takes audiences on a chronological journey through the genre: from the acoustic Delta and country blues, through the electrified Chicago sound of the 1950s, into the era of the “Three Kings” and the British blues explosion, and on to the blues-rock of the late 20th century and beyond. Expect music inspired by legends such as Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Will is joined by two of the UK blues scene’s finest musicians — Tom Gilkes on drums and Jerry Soffe on bass — for a powerful performance blending live music with the stories behind it.
A must-see for blues fans and lovers of live music alike.
Performance starts at 7:30pm, doors from 6:30pm with bar available.
